I'm not normally a lipstick wearer but I'm trying to be braver with my everyday makeup. Normally I'll play up my eyes and use Carmex or Benefit's Posietint but recently I've become a fan of the plum lip and when I saw that Avon introduced their new Perfect Kiss Lipstick I just had to order a couple.

I found the mirrored packaging is much nicer than their other lipsticks, just a little difficult to photograph, but comes in handy if you're out and about. Is it just me or do they look expensive? They remind me of a designer brand, only they come at a much friendlier price!



I ordered shades Deep Orchid, a very deep plum with a hint of red, and Plum Intrigue, which appeared almost lilac on my lips because of it's sheer coverage. Both lipsticks are provide buildable coverage but Deep Orchid definitely shows up better on first application. The range includes 22 other colours and I have my eyes on Kiss Me Pink and Coy Copper.

I suffer from dry lips, I like to blame Northern Ireland's weather but in reality it's because I'm forever biting them, so I was glad to hear about the moisturising ability of these lipsticks; they include avocado and coconut oil (yum!). I was suprised at their staying power too, they're actually quite long wearing.

Overall, I'm really impressed with these lipsticks and quite proud of myself for pulling off Deep Orchid! They're priced at £8.50 each although Avon is doing a 2 for £10 offer right now. The wide range of shades means there's definitely a colour out there for you! I think everyone should go buy one...
