First things first - I'm the realest - I need to apologise for being a bit lazy with my Glossybox reveals. It's not that I've fallen out of love with Glossybox, I just haven't been on top of my blogging game lately. I did love my May, June and July boxes and like all of the other editions, their products have crept their way into my daily beauty regime. To make up for it I'm revealing this months edition not long after receiving it!
You're welcome! |
I've forgotten to include one of the items from this Glossybox edition - only because I was too excited to try it out - but it's now bagged itself a place with my other daily makeup essentials. Of course I'm talking about the amazing highlighter created exclusively for Glossybox by Kryolan. I get far too excited when it comes to highlighters and I've started to wear them more during the day, rather than just for nights out. This months Kryolan highlighter is so easy to blend with the rest of my makeup that I can apply it quickly with my finger tips.
I'm fussy when it comes to perfume, so samples are definitely the way forward before buying! I'm not familiar with the L'amour brand but from what I've read online their perfumes are very popular (and a little on the pricey side, which surprised me because I thought their packaging looked cheap). It's described as a sensual floral fragrance with Bergamot, Rosebud and Sandalwood. If you like sweet perfumes then chances are you'll like this - it's long lasting but not overpowering.
Sometimes I really have to question if Glossybox are mind readers. It was only last week that I was complaining my mascara had dried up and I was in need of a new one, so of course I was a very happy girl during this month's reveal. Although I've heard of the Essence brand before, I'd never actually bought any of their products but this 'I love crazy extreme volume mascara' left me pleasantly surprised. The wand is smaller than what I'd normally use but these baby bristles are perfect for girls like myself who have tiny lashes and want to reach every last one. This mascara retails at £2.79 - bargain!
This British Figs & ROUGE mini hand cream was the first Glossybox item that I reached for. It's colourful packaging caught my eye and unsurprisingly, Northern Ireland weather means sad hands without hand cream. This little 20ml tube is enriched with shea butter, natural antioxidants and algea extract which makes for happy hands on the go! The mango and mandarin fragrance is lovely and refreshing but not too overpowering. The only negative I can find with this product is that the texture feels strange when rubbed in, and not like other hand creams I've tried. A full size 80ml tube retails at £6.95 but I found mini tubes on sale here for £2.37.
I've been disappointed with Glossybox nail polish shades in the past, but this Yves Rocher nude is right up my street. This shade is simply called 'Rose' and at only 3ml, mini nail polishes don't come cuter than this. These retail at £3.60 but I found similar shades on the Yves Rocher website on sale for £1.95.
To be honest, I'm a bit new to the term 'pre-shampoo' but I'm giving this Philip Kingsley elasticizer a thumbs up purely because it was specifically designed for Audrey Hepburn - I know right! This treatment should be applied to wet hair and left for 20 minutes before rinsing and shampooing (as the name pre-shampoo suggests). It promises to add bounce and shine to your hair without weighing it down and is suitable for all hair textures. I'm not one for putting a lot of product into my hair after washing because I find that it encourages greasy tresses, so a pre-shampoo elasticizer is perfect for me! A full size 250ml bottle will set you back £38 but should last a long time.
